1,904 Sages and Counting

Your last chance to get a free four-inch White Sage (Salvia apiana) happens tomorrow morning (Saturday), at Shipley Nature Center in Huntington Beach.

OCCNPS will give away the final group of 96 sages to Orange County residents starting at 10 a.m.

After the last 96 sages are gone, the A Sage in Every Garden (SIEG) campaign will be complete.

Our SIEG partner, Roger’s Gardens, finished giving away 1,000 white sages to their customers at the end of February. Below is the map that shows where the young white sages found a new home.

I hope to see you tomorrow, Saturday, March 4 at 10 a.m. at Shipley Nature Center, 17851 Goldenwest St., Huntington Beach, 92647. Let’s end this campaign in style.

  1. Hi! It was very disappointing to find out that all white sage was gone within 20 minutes at the Dana Point Nature Center… Can you tell me where can I purchase a couple of plants?

    1. Hello A.L., We are sorry the sages disappeared so quickly at the first Dana Point Nature Center giveaway. We did hold another giveaway last month at the DP Nature Center and those sages lasted longer before they were gone. You can purchase more white sages at Tree of Life Nursery in San Juan Capistrano. It’s fun visiting Tree of Life Nursery because they are surrounded by a beautiful, mature native plants surrounding the grounds. Best of luck installing white sage in your garden.
